Dearest Scotland scoops National Journalism Award

This post is written with great pride and excitement following Cat’s success in winning a UK-wide journalism award representing Dearest Scotland.

Last Thursday we were in attendance at the Sheffield City Hall, alongside some of the nation’s best young journalistic talent, at the invitation of the National Council for the Training of Journalists.

Presenting the award was TV and radio sports presenter Dan Walker, best known for his anchoring roles on the BBC’s Football Focus and Radio Five Live.

The award judges described the project as having “a fresh take on the Scottish referendum issue.”

With support of the project from Glasgow Clyde College, Cat was delighted to represent the college as the only Scottish shortlisted candidate in any of the winners’ categories.

The award brings to a near close to a fantastic year for Dearest Scotland in 2014.
